Mobiltelefone erobern seit Mitte der 90er-Jahre den Massenmarkt. Schon bald kamen die Hersteller auf eine geniale Idee: das Handy mit einer Kamera zu kombinieren! Dann ging alles sehr schnell, die „Handyfotografie“ entwickelte sich innerhalb weniger Jahre von einer belächelten Spielerei zu einer ernsten Konkurrenz zu den Digitalkameras.

Und jetzt DAS: Apple übernimmt das amerikanische Unternehmen Light und sorgt somit für den nächsten Meilenstein in der Smartphone-Fotografie. Denn Light ist der Hersteller der Kompaktkamera L16 mit sagenhaften 16 Objektiven. Bei den Objektiven handelt es sich um lichtstarke Festbrennweiten, die jeweils anders ausgerichtet sind. Ein Motiv wird dabei von mindestens zehn Kameras gleichzeitig erfasst und aufgenommen. So wird eine Bildqualität auf DSLR-Niveau erreicht!
Die Bildqualität des iPhone L16 ist sogar besser als die der Original-Light-L16 – das liegt vor allem an der deutlich besseren Fotosoftware von Apple. Neben der verbesserten Fotoqualität wurden auch gleich die Kinderkrankheiten (z.B. unsaubere Übergänge bei Bokeh-Effekten) der Originalkamera ausgemerzt. Zudem ist das iPhone L16 deutlich schmaler als das Original und soll auch weniger wiegen.
Über das Erscheinungsdatum und den Preis macht Apple noch keine Angaben, aber das iPhone L16 dürfte sich zwischen 3.000 und 4.000 Dollar bewegen.
Für mich ist das aber immer noch ein Schnäppchen, denn für das Geld bekommt man ein iPhone X mit unglaublichen 16 Objektiven – und das im Taschenformat! Eins ist sicher: Canon, Nikon und Sony müssen sich warm anziehen…
